No Loss of Life in Titanic Sinking

Fake news is everywhere. Ranging from songs we listen to to news stations. Fake news is all over the internet. Fake news is meant to mislead people into thinking that something untrue is real. Many websites create fake news so that they can gather a lot of attention and people would be interested to see more. What they might see after clicking into the websites is a lot of pop-up ads everywhere. Some of these websites also contain viruses that could be installed in your computer without your knowledge. these virus could take your personal information such as passwords and bank account details. This just shows that fake news is created for publicity and to make more money. Back in 2016, fake news and false posts were posted just to help Donald Trump win the election. Many websites we visit have articles linked that are titled "Will Simba be a vegan in in the 'Lion King' remake?" and when you click to read more about the topic, it doesn't even surprise you nor are...

"Youth Should Not Vote"

Image
https://knockthe.vote  As the midterm elections were getting closer in the United States, a group named "Knock The Vote" made a PSA taunting the new generation of voters. This PSA had old white men and women using profane language and imploring that the new generation should stay home and not vote. This was their way to infuriate the youth to persuade them to vote in the upcoming elections. They stated that the youth shouldn't vote because it will keep everything the way it is and make it less competitive for the party their supporting. The old people also addressed the different issues that are occurring through out the nation, such as school shootings and climate changes, and said that it does not concern them as they will die soon. This ad was created to irritate the youth about the different topics the old people mentioned, causing the youth to prove them wrong, but in reality, that was the whole point of the ad. To get the youth to vote. https://www.youtube.c...

Cultural Clothings are not Comical Costumes

Image
https://costumes.lovetoknow.com/ CategoryNational_and_Cultural_Costumes  Halloween is a time to dress up as characters from TV shows and cartoons to be entertaining and have fun with others. Wearing another culture's meaningful clothing and making fun of their rituals is just absurd and it is crossing the line. The video is correct by saying that people do not realize that the cultural costume they are wearing has a deeper meaning to another person.  Dressing up as your favorite character from a cartoon or TV show is acceptable, but wearing clothes that discriminate other people is intolerable. Wearing any costumes during Halloween means that it is either meant to be funny or scary and wearing cultural clothes are a way of saying that their culture is funny or scary. People that wear these types of clothing should not be the ones that should be questioned, instead the stores that sell these costumes are the ones to be mad at. We can't get mad at the people wearing the...

Nike's Catastrophic Campaign

Image
John Rich (@johnrich) on twitter.  Nike's 30th campaign was lead by Colin Kaepernick, a former quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. Colin was the first person to take a knee during the American national anthem to protest police brutality and racial injustice. After this campaign, Nike has been getting a lot of diverse response from its customers. Many people are against the campaign, while others support it. A large amount of Nike products have been destroyed on social media. People on social media are using #JustBurnIt as a way of showing how they destroyed the products. There is no use of destroying Nike products because it doesn't affect Nike, and they are just wasting their money.  I personally think that destroying Nike products is just a way for them to get recognized on social media. Even Donald Trump responded to this by saying"I think as far as sending a message, I think it's a terrible message and a message that shouldn't be sent". Majority o...
