WWDC19

As this time of year approaches, we always look forward to many things. For example, eating ice cream on a hot summer day, or going to Wonderland. The one thing I look forward to is Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference 2019 (WWDC19). Specifically, the keynote on the first day. This event takes place in San Jose, California. It will be held from June 3rd to June 7th.

This event is where many developers can meet Apple engineers. The keynote that happens on the first day is where they announce the new software updates that they will be releasing later on in the year. I'm most interested in this because I use technology every day. The technology utilizes software in order to function properly. Knowing that the technology I use will get an update and can be modified for the better brings me joy.

There would also be sessions held by Apple engineers to discuss newly developed apps and a hands-on lab to test out more of the new implementation happening to the software. This is where people can give in their feedback after reviewing the software. Since humans create this software, there are always different mistakes that could occur. There could also be features that some people might find offensive or inappropriate.

There are a lot of speculations about the type of software that would be coming to Apple products. It is for certain that there would be an update for iPhones (iOS 13). It is rumored that there would be an update for Macintosh computers (macOS 10.15), Apple Watch (watchOS 6), and for the Apple TV (tv 13). This software announced in June would be released during the fall. Even though I cannot go there to watch the keynote live, I will be following it live at home. I cannot wait to test out the new software they announce since it will become a permanent part of my life because I use my phone and computer every day.

  1. I found your post to be very educational and informing to not only myself but many people who did not know about Apple's Worldwide Dev Conference. Often times Apple releases new products around or After the summer, now that I know about this event Im sure that this event is a vital part in the new development of Apple products that are released after it. One thing I can certainly look forward too, and have been very interested in is the technology for Apple's new airpods as they do grab my attention as a product I would purchase but I am held back by their lack of functionality for me. Currently speaking, the competitor for Airpods it he new Power Beats by Dre, these earphones in comparison to Apple's Airpods are like no other as Airpods have the possibility of falling out. With Power Beats, they do not have any wire or such but have a "clamp" that grasps around your ear allowing you to function even better than Apple airpods as there is still freedom to move around without any wires, but with the clamp the possibility of the earphones falling out is significantly lowered. Additionally, they are waterproof and work under water. Apple's airpods turn off once they come into contact with water. Overall I will now wait before purchasing new earphones as your post has informed me about possible developments in new or existing apple products.
